Love in the moslem world

Based on best-selling novel of the same title, "Ayat-ayat Cinta" or "Verses of love" tells the story of an Indonesian student, Fary, studying at the prestigious Al Azhar university in Cairo. Shy and inarticulate around women, he finds himself surrounded by all the women who falls for him. Amongst love, religion and cultural differences, will he finally find happiness?

I find the movie delivers best adaptation of this page-turning novel by Indonesian Habiburrahman El Shirazi, himself, an alumnus of the Al Azhar university.
